Please Note: The Leonia Public Library is looking for consistent and reliable volunteers. We cannot accommodate last minute requests for volunteering. Volunteer hours are scheduled and arranged in advance. As much as we appreciate the interest in our volunteer program we cannot say yes to everyone. There are limited positions and opportunities for volunteering at our library.

How to Become a Teen Volunteer:

Please fill out the volunteer applications below. Please note we will be scheduling interviews with the candidates who are selected. Volunteers who do not fit our specific needs will not be contacted. Teen Volunteering is for those in grades 6-12th who are 12 years old and up.

E-Sports Committee: Mondays (Starting in Sept.)

Meetings are held twice a month on Mondays. We will work to plan a library e-sports tournament for teens grades (8th-12th). Committee members will choose the games and decide logistics.

Prop & Set Design: Tuesdays (Starting back in Sept.)

We will meet every Tuesday at 3:30pm (unless otherwise specified). Enjoy arts & crafts? Enjoy painting? Help us make sets and props for our next theater production!

Teen Advisory Group (TAG): Wednesdays (Starting back in Sept.)

Meetings are held every third Wednesday at 3:30 pm. The mission of the Leonia Public Library Teen Advisory Group is to encourage and inspire teens to become frequent library users by developing and promoting programs, volunteering opportunities, and services for the teen population.

Theater Club: Thursdays (Starting back in Sept.)

Our Theater Club meets every Thursday at 6:15 pm. Join and prepare for a children’s book theater production for kids at the library. Volunteers will practice, produce, schedule, design, and create this production.

Program Helper

Our program helpers will help with one or more programs a month. These may include Lego League, Game Afternoon, Craft Afternoon, Decorating Crew, and our Halloween Party.

Teens can earn a volunteer hour by participating in a teen program.
